How to plan AI video credits without surprises
Understand generation attempts, duration, model choice and the difference between studio subscriptions and developer access.
Credits are a usage unit
A studio can use credits to represent different creative operations. A short video, a longer clip, an image and a voice recording need not consume the same amount. Always review the selected operation and its displayed charge before submitting a paid request.
Plan for revision
A generated clip may need changes to composition, pacing or product accuracy. Reserve part of a project budget for revisions rather than spending it all on the first attempt. A storyboard and a short representative scene can reduce wasted generation, but they do not guarantee a perfect result.
Compare accepted outputs
Compare the total cost required to reach an accepted result. Include failed attempts according to the applicable charging policy, post-production and any required audio. The cheapest individual request is not necessarily the least expensive completed project.
Subscriptions and API access differ
A customer-facing studio subscription provides the features and usage defined by that studio. Developer API access has its own authentication, limits and commercial terms. A consumer subscription to another AI product does not automatically provide transferable API credits or permission to share accounts.
